The Toe River is a river that runs through western North Carolina. The name “Toe” is derived from its original name “Estatoe”- a Native American name for a trade route from the North Carolina mountains to what is now known as Brevard.
The headwaters originate in Black Mountain, North Carolina and flow along Western North Carolina until it collides with the Nolichucky River, Ohio River, Tennessee River, and Mississippi River and ultimately ending at the Gulf of Mexico. There are many access points nearby, with the closest one being to the South Toe at around 13 minutes from the hotel.
