On the national register of historical places, the Dellinger Grist Mill was established in 1867. It is the last water powered/stone ground grist mill of its kind left in North Carolina and is still operated using the same time honored techniques. Cornmeal, grits, and polenta ground from the finest mountain corn may be purchased. Driving time from the hotel is 22 minutes.
